Miura is the sweetest cat you will ever meet. While her backstory is a little sad, you'd never know it from her friendly and loving personality. She was found living in a homeless person's car in a Walmart parking lot along with her 7 kittens. Tragically, one of the kittens was stepped on, which is when Stray Cat Blues was contacted. We rescued all of the kittens, along with mama Miura, and provided resources for the homeless person as well. Miura was very ready to be done with her kittens. They were at the age where they no longer needed to be nursing, and she was getting increasingly annoyed with them. Her foster mom originally thought she hated other cats, but it turns out she's become really good buddies with one of her foster sisters. She just needs a slow introduction, and she prefers cats who do not get up in her space. She would also do well as someone's one and only. Miura is wonderful with all people, even little kids. She absolutely loves to be picked up and pet. She has not been tested with dogs but her foster mom thinks she probably would not like them.Adoption processDuring review of the application if you rent your home, we confirm with your landlord that you are allowed to have the cat per your lease. We also consider if a particular cat is a good fit for your home. Certain cats will do better in homes without small children, or without other cats. Other cats may need to be adopted with a cat that they are bonded with. So we make sure that the cat and the home are a good match before completing an adoption. Some of our fosters allow trial adoptions, where you would have 2-3 weeks to make sure that the cat being adopted was accepted by the other pets in your home. If you are interested in this, please ask your Adoption Representative. All cats adopted from Stray Cat Blues have been screened for feline leukemia and FIV, inoculated, sterilized and wormed when they first come to us. Additional vet work is completed for those cats that require additional care. Healthy, adoptable cats and kittens are then housed through our network of foster homes until they are adopted. You are also welcome to come visit cats at our PetSmart Collegeville and PetSmart North Wales/Montgomeryville locations (see times for adoption showings).
