Handsome Cash McLin, with medium length fur, cat is male (neutered and vaccinated) is approx 5 to 6 years old. He was rescued from a colony, he is too sweet to live on the streets. Cash is a cuddler, he loves sitting in his fosters lap, she actually sings to him and he drifts off to sleep. There is a small white patch on his chest, but he's all over black with incredible copper colored eyes. He is litter box trained with good manners. He will be micro chipped before he is adopted. Cash is calm, quiet, probably a couch potato, long past the wild energy of a kitten. He will play with a toy/feather/etc but not excessively. Loves petting and cuddling. Seems a bit cautious of men but not terrified. Cash would like be accepting of another calm cat in a home, we have no real experience with him and dogs, and prefers children over 12 only.Adoption processThe application process.... After you complete an application, there are several things that we will do: 1. We will check your personal references. Please be sure to list two personal references and include a phone number and an email address. (form asks for one; but I like two)2. If you do not own your place of residence, we will call your landlord or leasing office. Please check with them first to learn about their pet policy.3. We will call your veterinarian for a reference. We are looking for a history of annual exams, vaccines maintained routinely, annual heartworm tests and monthly preventatives. We require the following: * All pets in the home must be spayed or neutered. * If your pet is not up to date on vaccines, please do not submit the application until you have scheduled an appointment with the vet to get your pets current on their vaccines. 4. If you are a 1st-time pet owner, please include the name and phone number of the veterinarian you plan to use.5. Be sure to call your Vet(s), giving them permission to speak with us.6. We may need to do a home visit prior to approving your application, or post-adoption. If these policies and practices are not acceptable, please do not apply.Shelter locationWe have Adoption Days on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month at 179 Chris Way in Somerset, Kentucky from 12-4 pm EST, in addition to community-based special adoption events.
