StanleyMy life began here at HSHC 11 years ago. I was one of twelve stray cats and kittens found in July 2012. When I was in foster care as a baby, I was a favorite because I was friendly, playful, and talkative. I liked to rub my head on my foster mom's chin and climb into her lap. I was adopted in October, but my owner moved away, abandoning me at the house in 2021. The new owner took me in as his for three years. I am STILL a sweetheart of a cat and mystified that my owner left me all alone. My second owner was so kind to keep me, and I lived a much better life. However, I have developed some medical conditions that he does not feel comfortable handling. My left front paw became swollen and painful. The common name for this is "pillow foot." I have been taking medication to decrease the swelling and ease the pain. The interviewer lady was pleased to see that I was still the same charming fellow I was as a kitten. I greeted her with purrs and put my head in her hand to encourage pets. She noted that my foot pads looked puffy but did not prevent me from walking on them. I'm confident that with medicine, I will continue to improve. My greatest wish is to spend the rest of my life in a loving home, never to be abandoned again. Please give me another chance at happiness. 4-6-24
