*** Eris is in a foster home. ***Brown/orange/black torbie, short hair, spayed female, born approx. 3/1/23, #18866Cats: only kitty Dogs: no thank you Children: respectful tweens+Eris is a beautiful tortoiseshell tabby (torbie!) who was found wandering in an apartment parking lot in downtown San Diego. She was very friendly with the residents. They soon noticed that she was quite pregnant and reached out to The Rescue House to help. She arrived in foster care one day before giving birth to EIGHT kittens! The day of birth was also a very stormy day, so it was extra good that Eris and her new family were safe and dry. Eris was a wonderful and organized mother, and now she is ready for her own life in her own forever home!Eris was a teenage mom and is still very youthful at heart. She is ready to be spoiled and appreciated and treated like the queen that she is! She will jump into your lap and ask to be brushed. Short-haired cats can love brushes, too, and Eris will purr and purr when you oblige her with this request. She's a watchful kitty who likes to know everything that's going on around her; her previous experiences trying to fend for herself mean that she can jump at unusual sounds, but she returns once it's clear there's nothing scary going on. Eris loves kisses and hugs (and tasty Churu treats) and is a wonderful companion.Although she did not interact directly with the resident cats in her foster home, since she was busy raising her large brood, we believe that Eris would be happiest as a solo pet. She got along well with the resident teenagers and their friends, though younger and more rambunctious children may be a bit much for her. She would need time to get accustomed to them.Eris is a very lucky sweetheart who wants nothing more than a loving home of her own.
