"Presto!" Quick and easy! Not always. I'm an 8-year-old black male who was brought to the shelter along with another male and two females from our home because our person is moving out of state and cannot take us with her. When I was checked for a microchip, staff discovered that I was adopted in 2018 from Paws and Claws as "Eddie." The person who adopted me was a man, and it is a mystery so far as to how I wound up with the woman who released us. But here we are. We all like children and like playing with toys. We are affectionate, and we like sleeping together. It would be a shame to split us up after a big change like this, but quick and easy? Sometimes, but not always. Maybe we could be adopted in pairs. My pals are named Teddy, Pretty, and Mooshy. I'd love to think that my transition to a new home would be - presto! It's something magicians say. I hope I'll have an adopter who understands that going from a caring home to a shelter to a new home can be difficult for any cat. Please be patient. I'm a sweet boy who'd love to find the magic of love and be your special Presto boy.Adoption fee $50 + microchip fee $30 + taxAdoption processPaws and Claws Humane Society (PCHS) is a non-profit, mostly volunteer organization that rescues and shelters homeless cats and dogs until they can be adopted into their “forever” homes. We want our clients to understand that adopting and animal is a lifetime responsibility and commitment to that animal. All prospective adopters must show (at the time of adoption) a valid drivers license or other acceptable identification to verify their name, address, and age. Adopters must be 18 yrs of age. Children under the age of 12 years old need to be present at time of viewing shelter cats or dogs. After submitting an application, there is generally a processing period of 1-3 days in order to complete all pre-adoption checks and paperwork before an adopter may take possession of the animal.
