Cheese Curds is an awesome 3-year old male kitty who was brought to the HSOV on April 19, 2024 by a Good Samaritan who had found him on George Street in Belpre Ohio the preceding afternoon. This handsome boy has an orange tabby-and-white short smooth coat, a long ringed tail, and an adorable chubby face with pale golden eyes, a pink nose, and long white whiskers. Cheese Curds appeared to have a friendly disposition when these first photos were taken shortly after he arrived on April 19th. The Good Samaritan who found Cheese Curds reported that he was not good with children. Cheese Curds is a big kitty who weighs 10 lbs. If he is not reclaimed, we will have Cheese Curds neutered in the next month or so and find him a new home.Adoption processOur adoption process includes an adoption application which must be completed and approved by our shelter management. We verify veterinarian references and also approval from landlords if the pet will be housed in rental property. Home visits may also be required prior to adoption. All dogs/cats must be spayed/neutered before being adopted. Adoption fee for dogs is $150.00 which includes vaccinations, wormer, flea treatment, dog tag, microchip, and spay/neuter. Adoption fee for cats is $40 and includes vaccinations, wormer, flea treatment, and spay/neuter. Most adult cats (and kittens over 3-months of age) have already been spayed/neutered. Adoption fees for other species varies.Shelter locationWe are located at 90 Mt. Tom Rd. in Marietta ,Ohio 45750. We are open Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00am to 5:00pm; Sunday from Noon to 3:00pm. . Closed on Monday..
