Meow there, my name is Max and I am a 4 year old domestic shorthair cat/cow mix. It's a new breed, you're going to love me! And speaking of love, I am a total snuggle bug. I want nothing more than to be with you for pets any chance I get. I'd happily sleep in your arms all day or snooze on your bed where I burrow under the blankets. What can I say, I love to be with my person!When I'm not cuddling, I really enjoy hunting my catnip mousies and showing off all my zoomy skills. I also enjoy a good scratching post, it's totally the cat's meow! As much as I love my human, a home without other pets would make me happiest. Actually, what would make me even happier is finding someone looking for a lovable lap cat and who can spend lots of time with me for all Ten Lives. About Ten Lives:Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered. We do not have a facility or shelter with regular visiting hours. Out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, we require an approved adoption application before scheduling a meet and greet with a foster cat. Our goal is to place cats in their best-matched homes and facilitate lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. We believe that veterinary care is an important part of cat guardianship. As such, a veterinary check is part of our adoption process. Our goal is to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the influx of applications. We are all volunteers and kindly ask for your patience! All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.Adoption processAll potential adopters must fill out the Ten Lives adoption application, show proof of either home ownership or landlords approval, and current veterinary records for any resident animals. All approved adopters will be required to sign the Ten Lives adoption agreement.Shelter locationAll Ten Lives cats are located in foster homes throughout Rhode Island and available for meet and greets after an approved adoption application.
