Adopt Lucy KAR a White Domestic Shorthair (short coat) cat in Portland

Location:
Portland, OR
Description:

Want an independent kitty but one who also likes to play, is lap friendly and a HUGE cuddle bug? 😻 Meet Lucy! She is an adorable, loving and independent cat. Lucy is great for someone that is looking for an adult cat that likes to be petted but also doesn't mind being by herself. Someone that may work long hours and gets excited at the idea of having someone waiting for you at home. Or if you spend the majority of your time at home and want a low maintenance kitty, Lucy is your girl.🥰 Lucy will thrive in a home where she will be the only kitty. She has a unique personality - she doesn’t like being picked up or carried but wants to be loved by getting pets on the head and/or scratches in the ear/neck. At night she’s all about cuddling next to you. Lucy has beautiful golden eyes and a heart shaped spot on her side. Make sure to always have catnip because she goes into playful mode when given catnip! She can be very vocal and desires a lot of attention at times. She is very lap friendly and a huge cuddle bug. We can't wait to find Lucy, the girl with kaleidoscope eyes, her furver home! One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick-up location to you! The adoption fee is $250.00 and includes all vetting: FVRCP vaccines (2 to 3 depending on age and time in the program), FIV vaccines, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, combo tested, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a health certificate deeming the kitty healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This kitty you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties Rescue (3LP) wants to set you and your new family member up for success! In addition to a fully vetted furbaby you also receive other additional perks such as a 30-day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.), a code for a free bag of cat litter AND a code for 50% off a 2nd bag of litter from Catalyst Pet, coupons for a fun visit to Petco, and support through our Facebook Adopters group where you can connect with thousands of other adopters, 3LP volunteers, fosters and staff. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescues and will require continued efforts but are well on their way to being the best kitties that they can be! We ask that you give them time (can take weeks to months) to decompress in their new home, do slow introductions to other pets and let their true personalities have a chance to come through. We celebrated our 5-year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.facebook.com/ThreeLittlePittiesRescueSavingKitties/ https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue/ *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $25 surcharge for transport.
