We aren't going to sugarcoat Misu's situation because her tale has been a long, tiresome one to no fault of her own. Life just kept dealing her a bad hand, and she had to suffer from it. Fortunately, Misu is a strong spirit, and after you meet her the first time, you're wondering how she can keep such a positive attitude with everything that's happened to her! Allow us to elaborate: Misu had a family to call her own at one point. However, they soon realized that, after Misu was diagnosed with diabetes, they were unable to care for her. As a result, Misu was relinquished to a shelter, where she was quickly time-stamped in the Philly ACCT system. With little time to waste, the Philly rescue, emergency veterinarians, and LCCR fosters put their noses to the grinder and managed to get Misu out before it was too late. At this point, Misu's life took a turn for the better! Like a fine wine, she only got better with age (and care)! She came into the rescue on 1 unit of insulin twice a day, but now, her numbers are so good that it's nowhere near as excessive! Thanks to a regulated diet and regular glucose testing, she's been a healthy and happy kitty! She's also been incredibly cooperative about the daily glucose checks!At first, Misu was hesitant around other kitties, but she's grown accustomed to them. If they respect her boundaries, she will honor them the same. She likes to keep to herself for the most part. Even though she currently resides in a foster home with other kitties, doggies, and guinea pigs, she secretly befriended another creature: a bunny! Misu must have sensed some sort of kindred spirit with the long-eared cutie, and she doesn't seem to mind whenever it comes over to visit!Now that we told you about Misu's background, you're probably wondering what her temperament is like? Well, we stated that she tends to spend her time by herself to decompress, and we can't blame her after her story! However, she isn't exactly a loner! You can just see from her beautiful white coat and lime-colored eyes that she has an affectionate side that she is willing to share with her humans! You'd think this girl would be offput by anyone, but that couldn't be further from the truth! She's incredibly friendly towards people, and she will often strike up a conversation with them! She seems to have a level of intelligence that has somehow gone unseen. The reason for this is because she loves to spend most of her time loving her humans to death! No logic is needed when it comes to adoring humans!
