Approximate Date of Birth:1/1/2008 Description: Patches is a sweet older girl with lots of experience being a good cat to bring to her new family! Patches spent most of her life with a stay at home human and in more recent years had a companion kitty. She enjoys having company and someone to be around and provide her with the comfort she deserves in her golden years, but also enjoys alone time to nap and lay around. As a more mature kitty, she is a little stiff and moves slowly. She is reluctant to jump up or down much, but she wants to be with you or near you. Something she can use as steps up and down to the couch and the bed will be used with appreciation! She loves to cuddle and be with anyone and everyone who will give her the attention she loves. She is people oriented and adjusts to new people quickly. Words to Describe Me: gentle, slow, cuddly, talkative Favorite Place to Sleep: anywhere that you are, in her cat bed Favorite Toy: little mice Perfect Day: Getting morning pets/brush, eating breakfast, hanging out with you while you work or do stuff around the house, sitting in your lap while you watch tv at night, getting treats for being a good cat throughout the day Kitty's Likes: brushing, laying next to someone and be petted, sit in a lap Kitty's Dislikes: She prefers not to be moved too much on her back legs but likes to take things at her own pace Fastest Way to Get Me to Purr: pet me, give me a lap to lay on, hold me Favorite Treat: Whisker Lickins or Temptations - she even sits up for these! Job Title in Foster: The Cuddle Craver When I Grow Up, I Want to Be: The Dowager Other Info: Patches is missing a lot of teeth so does a lot better on a mostly wet food diet. She loves the Nulo canned food in the blue can (seafood). I leave a handful of the Nulo dry food out for her and she will slowly pick at it but does drop quite a bit. Good with Cats: Ambivalent towards cats. Good with Dogs : Likes dogs given a proper introduction. Good with Children: Unknown, but optimistic (has not met any children). Companion Animal: Not necessary. Health information: All cats and kittens will be spayed or neutered, FeLV / FIV tested (as indicated by age), receive vaccinations appropriate for age, preventative deworming, and microchipping prior to adoption as appropriate by age.
