Osbert has flourished in foster care after arriving scared, angry, and a bit spicy. After settling in, his funny, sweet, and very playful nature shined. He’s learned to accept pets, head scratches and butt rubs, and now he is a purring machine. He is learning that laps are comfortable. Osbert’s day revolves around play, naps, and snacks. He’ll tell you when he’s hungry. At night he’ll curl up in the crook of his foster mom’s arm or drape himself over his foster dad’s legs. Like all kittens, Osbert is sweetly mischievous, and his favorite toy is a roll of toilet paper. He’s a sucker for laser pointers and wand toys. Osbert knows what he wants, and he can be a little ornery when he doesn’t get it. When you interrupt his play, he’ll use his meows to object. Change makes him anxious, so he doesn’t do well at the PetSmart habitat or at adoption events. You’ll have to meet him at his foster home. He is thriving in a busy foster home with two large dogs and three resident cats. He greets and shows off for the hospice nurses that visit one of the family members. He is very sweet and loving, and he’ll be a faithful, fun companion in the right home. His brother is Norbert and after being separated for several weeks, they are slowly getting reacquanted. Get $50 off the combined adoption fee when adopting a pair of kittens. Osbert does not do well at the noisy adoption events so apply to adopt to meet him in his foster home. All cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on their vaccines, FELV/FIV tested, microchipped, given a few rounds of dewormer and started on monthly flea preventative. All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption.
