The adoption fee is waived for Gilbert and ALL Desperate Housecats!Gilbert was adopted from AAC when he was a kitten, but he was brought back to the shelter with another cat after their owner passed away. Very shy, he did not do well in the shelter environment, so we moved him into a foster home. Gilbert is as gentle as he is shy. His foster family showers him with affection, and their patience is being rewarded: He is opening up and becoming more comfortable. He enjoys chin scratches and being petted, and will snuggle next to you to keep the affection going. Gilbert loves treats and comes running when he hears the bag. He gets along well with other cats, and needs to be adopted into a quiet household with humans who will give him the time he needs to feel at home. The lucky adopter will be rewarded with a gentle, super sweet companion. I am a DHC, and I have my own webpage!
