I'm Penelope – HART’s July Cat of the Month! My 13th birthday is July 1st, but in true princess fashion, I'm planning on celebrating all month long! I have a unique tortoiseshell coat that is a gorgeous mix of pumpkin spice latte and dark chocolate colors. I'm very friendly and adore spending time with people of all ages. I get along well with other cats, and dogs too. I love to explore, be petted, and eat, eat, eat!At first glance, you wouldn't know I am a senior kitizen - I have tons of energy and often run circles around cats my own age! There's a reason that my kitten side comes out sometimes - I have something called, ""hyperthyroidism."" This condition speeds up my energy and metabolism, and because of this, I am more alert, curious, and active than other senior felines. My friends at HART are helping me feel my best by mixing a little medicine into my food every day. It's really no big deal. I came to HART a year and a half ago, and so, as you can guess, I am truly ready to finally find my fur-ever home. Could it be with you?
