Onyx is handsome, playful, and full of energy! Although he is the biggest of his litter (9 pounds as of 9/2/23!), he can appear shy and unsure about new places and people, but he can’t resist the wiggle of a wand toy and will soon relax into the rhythm of the hunt – he is a jumping, chasing, and pouncing expert! Onyx also has a weakness for Churu and will bravely overcome his hesitation of new people by enthusiastically eating Churu right from your hand! Once he is comfortable, Onyx is very curious and is often the first one to investigate anything new in his area to see if it is something tasty he can eat or something fun he chase. When Onyx is done playing, he enjoys hopping up to a window to do some bird-watching or stretching out and taking a long nap with his brothers Perry and Onyx. He will also lie on the desk to watch his foster mom use the computer (sometimes interrupting when something on the screen catches his eye!) Onyx would flourish in a quiet-to-moderate activity home where he can can have time to settle in and build his confidence and get to know his new home and family. Onyx gets along very well with his brothers Perry (Peridot) and Jasper and hopes he can go home with one (or both!) of his brothers so he can have a playmate for all his kitten energy and a nap-buddy. Onyx could also do well with an existing kitten or playful cat in the home who can show him the ropes. Onyx is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, deflead, and litter-trained. Onyx has not been tested for fiv/felv, however his littermate has tested negative for both.Onyx and his siblings are excited to bring happiness to a new household.
