George is an easy cat to love! This 2 year old neutered male cat is friendly and calm with other cats and dogs (after he gets to know his people). He likes to be around his family. In the past, George tried to get outside, but I have never had a problem with this so I think he has learned that inside is better. He has learned to stay off the dinner table, and likes his cat trees for scratching. Occasionally, he will jump on top of the refrigerator - but not often!George has a special need. He was adopted when 15 months old from a shelter. Once home, he had seizures daily at first. He should not play with a laser light, since they seem to trigger the seizures. He has been taking Phenobarbital (1/2 tablet every 12 hours), and this appears to have stopped his seizures - at least, I have not seen him have one since he has been in his foster home since 6/2/2023. It is important that he has this medicine regularly. It can be ground up in his canned food or just given to him - he doesn’t always like it, but that is how I have been giving it to him. The vets say he probably has epilepsy, since he has not shown symptoms of several terrible diseases, but we have not given him an MRI since the seizures have stopped and the MRI closes $2500. Since I have two diabetic animals that need insulin every 12 hours, I just give George his meds at the same time.George was surrendered to All Paws Rescue when no one was able to give him his meds at a 12 hour schedule. He was loved very much, and his family was very sad to lose Georgie. All pets are spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and on a flea/tick preventative. Cats are tested for FIV/FeLV and dogs are tested for heartworms. Adoption fee is $110 for cats and $150 for dogs. To meet this pet, please fill out a dog application or cat application .
