Fawn is a 1.5-year-old gorgeous orange, black and white calico who arrived at the Shelter in January after coming from an unstable home environment. Initially she was quite uncertain, her previous life was chaotic and unpredictable and that resulted in her behavior being very reactive and scared. During her time with us, the focus has been on providing consistent gentle and affectionate care to build her trust and learn that people are safe and loving. We are happy to share Fawn has come a long way! She is blossoming into the sweet, gentle cat she truly is. Fawn would do best in a calm, loving home where routines are predictable, and where she can trust her environment to be safe. She is not a fan of other pets for company, so someone who will be home a lot would be wonderful, so she is not alone for hours throughout the day. Fawn is looking for a patient, gentle soul to bond with who can take time and develop a relationship with her for life. Please note that Kingdom Animal Shelter is not a 'same day' adoption shelter. To adopt from Kingdom Animal Shelter:Complete an adoption application and authorization for release of information form and bring them to the Shelter during adoption hours or email them to XXXX@kingdomanimalshelter.com or mail them in to P.O. Box 462, St. Johnsbury, VT 05819. The application and release of information forms are available at http://www.kingdomanimalshelter.com/available-cats.html or you can pick them up from the shelter during adoption hours.An adoption counselor will review your application, contact 1-2 personal references and contact your veterinarian for a reference. Additionally, if you are a renter, we will contact your landlord for permission to have an animal in the household. Please allow at least 3 business days for the process to be completed.After the review is complete, the adoption counselor will contact you, generally by e mail or by phone.You will be notified if your application is approved or declined.If the application is approved, you will work with the adoption counselor to work out a mutually agreed upon time and date for you to take your cat home.Shelter locationOur adoption hours are listed on our website at http://www.kingdomanimalshelter.com/hours.html
