I'm Mr. Mittens, a handsome black cat with adorable white toes, a cute white chin, and impressive white whiskers. My striking yellow-green eyes have seen 16 wonderful years, and I'm now ready to finally find a loving fur-ever home to spend my golden years in. Despite my age, I still have a lot of love to give to that special someone who welcomes me into their heart and home.One of my favorite pastimes is snuggling up on laps, where I feel warm and adored. I also enjoy playtime! I especially love attacking stuffed kick toys - they bring out the playful side in me. I must mention that I am diabetic and follow a special diet, and don't worry; I'm a pro at taking my insulin. I'm currently wearing a blood sugar monitor on my side, but sometimes I kick it off, so I get to wear the ""orange slice"" to make sure it stays on. I don't mind - I'm told I look pretty adorable! If you're not experienced with caring for a diabetic cat, don't let that discourage you because HART's Med Team and my current foster will support you and show you how it's done. I would be a purrfect candidate for a foster home arrangement, but I'd love to make it permanent.What I'm wishing for is a family who will provide me with the fur-ever home and all the love and care I deserve. While I usually prefer to be the only feline in the household, I get along well with small, cat-friendly dogs.
