Michelangelo is a sleek brown tabby with gorgeous yellow-green eyes, estimated to be approximately a year and a half old. He is neutered, fully vetted/vaxxed, micro-chipped, and FIV/FeLV negative. Since being rescued, Michelangelo has been living with a temporary foster family who have wonderful words to share on his progress! He is affectionate, playful, and super smart! He loves to gaze out the window, take cat naps in the sun or on your lap, play with his toys, roll in piles of catnip, and watch the nature channel on TV. He has perfect litter box manners. He settles into new environments easily and quickly and loves meeting and cuddling up to new people. The way to his heart is definitely through his stomach - one thing to note about Michelangelo is that he has a hearty appetite! He loves to eat and wants to eat as much as he can. Michelangelo would do best in a home that can offer patience and understanding when it comes to his food insecurity. He is still learning that he no longer has to hunt and beg for food on the streets and needs to break the habit of meowing loudly whenever he wants food (you will also need to make sure his food and treats are securely locked away to keep him from scavenging). He is definitely a chatty kitty, especially at night and around mealtime, but don't let that concern you too much - his meows are usually full of love and excitement. Michelangelo is very social and loves to be around people, so his ideal adopter would be someone who could offer plenty of love and attention. Michelangelo has not been tested with other cats or dogs, but he always comes running if he hears cats meowing on the phone or TV! His current foster family thinks this is a promising sign that he will do well with other feline friends. A contract is filled out at the time of adoption. Adoption Fees:Adult cat: $100 or Two cats (6 mos.& older) adopted at the same time: $160. Senior cats 6 years and older $75. Ask us about our Senior Cats for Seniors Adoption Program! No adoption fee to qualifying seniors 65 and over.Kitten: $100 each. Includes spay/neuter, rabies, distemper and FIV/Felv Testing.Adult Dog: $250. Additional $25 fee for dogs who are microchipped. Includes spay/neuter, rabies, distemper, bordetella and HW testing.
