Wow where do I start? This kitty has had a rough life so far. She was rescued from a hoarding/neglect situation. She came into care by request of the local SPCA where she was held there for multiple months while they prosecuted the previous owner. That time in the shelter was very stressful for Carla. She lost a lot of weight, had hair loss and over grooming due to the stress. But in foster care she has been thriving. She likes to be with humans. She is not a fan of other cats. She will need to be an only pet. But she will provide whoever takes her in with constant companionship.This beautiful girl will need time to adjust to an new environment. We are guessing due to her previous living situation and the time stayed at the shelter she is nervous and will swat/nip in new environments. But once she is comfortable that behavior goes away and she is a loving, purring, seeking attention cat. So a cat savvy person is required for this pretty girl. If you have a quiet home and the understanding please help this lady find her forever home.Adoption processDuring review of the application if you rent your home, we confirm with your landlord that you are allowed to have the cat per your lease. We also consider if a particular cat is a good fit for your home. Certain cats will do better in homes without small children, or without other cats. Other cats may need to be adopted with a cat that they are bonded with. So we make sure that the cat and the home are a good match before completing an adoption. Some of our fosters allow trial adoptions, where you would have 2-3 weeks to make sure that the cat being adopted was accepted by the other pets in your home. If you are interested in this, please ask your Adoption Representative. All cats adopted from Stray Cat Blues have been screened for feline leukemia and FIV, inoculated, sterilized and wormed when they first come to us. Additional vet work is completed for those cats that require additional care. Healthy, adoptable cats and kittens are then housed through our network of foster homes until they are adopted. You are also welcome to come visit cats at our PetSmart Collegeville and PetSmart North Wales/Montgomeryville locations (see times for adoption showings).
