Lucy is a sweet 8-year-old grey kitty, who came into our rescue with Lola a gorgeous, sleek 10-year-old black cat Lola. These girls came into our rescue after their owner passed away, and they were left alone in the house. Our rescue's mission is to assist terminally ill people with finding new families for their pets, including after the owner has passed away. We were happy to get these two girls into a foster home together, and their foster mom believes they really rely on each other and are bonded, so we hope to keep them together. Plus, the adoption fee is two for the price of one. Lola is the big sister who takes charge and reassures the shy Lucy that life will be ok, and they can get through this scary transition together. The original owner's family describe Lucy and Lola as friendly with family, friendly with visitors, and affectionate. On the first day we met Lola, she came right up to us, purring and ready for pets. She purrs so much at her vet visits that they can't even hear her heartbeat as part of the exam. Lucy was a bit more cautious with strangers but warms up well with a little time. Lucy, the grey cat, is on the quiet and shy side, but also gains confidence with having Lola with her. She also loves people and pets and really blossoms with someone who gives her attention and love. Both girls are front-declawed and have excellent litter box habits. They are both fixed, vaccinated, microchipped, had full blood work, and Lucy will have a dental cleaning with extractions by the time they are adopted.
