Meet Sugar, a kitty whose personality is as sweet as her name suggests. She is a sweet and shy girl who is a follower. Once she gets comfortable around you, she will follow you around everywhere and bump against your legs. She has enjoyed the company of her foster home's resident cat who helped bring her out of her shell. Sugar loves to copy the cat’s every move like going up to get pets from humans or using the scratch pole. Sugar is a very playful feline and her favorite toys include anything with a ribbon that she can chase. She also loves battery operated toys that she can play hide and seek with and small toys that she can bat around. During Sugar’s time at her foster home, she found comfort in the resident cat at the home. She loves to follow their lead and cuddle up with them. That being said, she would need to be in a home with adults only and another cat so that she can feel at ease and secure in her new home. Being in a household with adults only and another cat would help her thrive and live her best kitty life with her new family. Sugar is a very vocal kitty and loves to purr. She loves her pets, especially on her belly and will let you know so with her loud purrs. If you hear her mewing, it's probably to greet you with her unique belly-flipping welcoming ritual. This helps to ensure a great match with you and your family. In order to get the process going, would you kindly fill out our detailed online application located here: http://www.foreverfortunatefelines.org/adopt Completing our online application does not commit you to adopt from our rescue. Rather it helps us to understand your requirements and match you with the best possible cat or kitten. Once you complete the application and it is approved, we can set up a meet and greet and if all works out, you may bring the kittens or cats home the same day. Please make sure to bring an adequately sized pet carrier with you to your meet and greet. We recommend a pet carrier which opens from the top as this is the easiest way to place a cat inside a carrier. If you do decide to adopt, we do expect you to take home your cat the same day as there are so many cats and kittens which need to be rescued from high kill shelters, we almost always rescue a new cat or kitten the very next day. If it is not possible for you to take your cat or kitten home the same day, we do charge a boarding fee of $10 per day for supplies and to encourage you to take your newly adopted cat home. We will board for a maximum of 3 days if needed to allow you time to get needed supplies. Our adoption fees are listed at the link below. This fee includes full vetting, flea treatment, de-worming, spay surgery, FeLV and FIV test, microchip insertion, and vaccinations up to date for the kittens or cats age.
