Sprinkles must have confirmed placement with an RESCUE PARTNER, or FOSTER by Tuesday, June 27th at 10 A.M. Should Sprinkles' medical status change, her urgency and timeline for placement may also change. Sprinkles, an 11.31-pound senior cat with a timid yet kind nature, was surrendered by her owner on June 8th alongside her brother El Monstro due to the owner's health concerns. The owner described Sprinkles as a shy and introverted feline, unlike her sociable and outgoing brother. The owner also mentioned that both cats are well-trained in using the litter box and have never displayed aggression or attempted to bite. However, they are fearful of children. Upon Sprinkles' arrival at ACCT, she exhibited nervousness, shyness, and a calm demeanor. Sprinkles simply require some time in a tranquil environment to relax and adjust. Sprinkles has periodontal disease with retained (probably abscessed) left and right maxillary canine roots. She also has moderate wear and staining of all teeth, upper L K9 is missing, tissue is red and inflamed surrounding area. Both maxillary canines are fractured at gumline with retained roots. Left maxillary gingiva is edematous, erythematous and painful to the touch. Remaining teeth have moderate calculus. On 6/23 staff noted- Was very receptive to petting and snuggles! Seemed to really enjoy attention. Very loving and calm cat. Sprinkles would greatly benefit from being placed in a rescue or foster home where she can receive the necessary dental care while also receiving the love and attention she truly deserves.
