They kept her company on the sofa and snoozed along during afternoon naps. Being faithful feline companions, they kept a watchful eye on their beloved person. When their guardian's memory began to fade, she was no longer able to care for Lucy and Ethel. Looking out for the precious kitties, the family asked The Rescue House for help. Knowing the show must go on, Lucy and Ethel are ready to bring the joy and laughter into their new forever home!Named after the iconic 1950's television sitcom, "I Love Lucy," these sisters are funny best friends! Bashful at first, just give them a chance to get comfortable and their charming personalities will shine through! In fact, they have no problem calling you over for love and attention. These chatty girls also like to entertain you with their stories and opinions. As for playtime, Lucy and Ethel would appreciate some encouragement in achieving their weight-loss goals. We adore these plump kitties and want them to stay healthy and happy!--- Lucy is the more outgoing sister who relishes compliments, cuddles and chin scratches! She'll happily accept a good brushing of her soft coat. With this gentle darling around, you get the added perk of being able to holler "Lucy, I'm home!" every time you walk through the front door!--- Ethel is more reserved and cautious compared to Lucy. Don't let that fool you! After she has warmed up, Ethel is just as sweet! She enjoys pets and chin scritches... on her terms, of course! For example, she might insist that you pamper her in bed instead of her coming to you. A big fan of her kitty pillow, she'll lounge there while she curiously watches you go about your day. Who doesn't like to stay cozy in bed? These littermates have been together for their entire lives and plan to keep it that way! Therefore, Lucy and Ethel are a bonded pair and MUST be adopted together. Lucy and Ethel might be able to adjust to another welcoming feline given proper introductions. They met a dog once and hissed at it. Based on that 1-star review and Ethel's cautious nature, we believe they'd prefer a home without canines. Older kids and teenagers would be a better fit. Young children might overwhelm our chill gals. The ratings are in- Lucy and Ethel are America's favorite sweethearts!
