Clover is an awesome male kitty who was surrendered by his owner on April 22, 2023 because she was moving and couldn't take Clover to the new residence since the landlord would not permit Clover to live there. Clover may look familiar to many of our HSOV Kitty Lovers .. He first arrived at HSOV on May 20, 2022 after he was found on Barclay Street in Belpre Ohio. Clover was a tiny 4-week old kitten at that time and all by himself in a big scary world. Clover had spent nearly all of his young life in our shelter and was raised (and loved) by our HSOV Kennel Techs and Volunteers while living in a small cage. He was adopted on January 21, 2023, and we were thrilled that he had finally found a home of his very own .. But he only had a chance to enjoy that home for four months as it turned out. Clover could be considered a Turkish Van kitty since he has a white short smooth coat with brown tabby markings on his head and tail (though he does have a couple of brown tabby patches on his left side). Clover has an adorable face with a brown tabby ‘beanie’ on his head and a cute pink nose. He is a social butterfly (and as well as a playboy) who quickly comes running to his people friends when he sees the slightest opportunity for some loving attention. Clover seems to prefer the company of female cats since he tends to play too rough with males. He spent a short period of time in our HSOV Free-Roaming Kitty Room but now has his own bachelor's pad in an extra-large tower at the front of our shelter lobby. Our HSOV Kennel Techs dearly love this big boy and treat him to out-of-cage time in the mornings before the shelter is officially opened. Clover loves to scamper around and play with feathery teaser toys (and most any cat toys) either by himself or with a willing participant. You may notice in some of his photos that Clover decided to ‘dock’ his own tail (either by being stressed out in a case or thinking his tail was too long or a possible plaything). Clover weighs approximately 12-13 lbs, so there is a lot of him to love. Clover is up-to-date on vaccinations, wormer, and flea medications. He has been combo tested and is negative for feline leukemia, FIV, and heartworm. Clover was neutered on September 19, 2022 and was also given rabies vaccine. He is ready to find a fabulous home of his very own either through adoption or rescue. Rescue groups may contact our HSOV Feline Rescue Coordinator via email (XXXX@suddenlink.net).
