Meet BellatrixBellatrix had a rough start to life before she came to HART. She was found living under a porch by a kind stranger. They noticed she was limping on one of her back legs and called us for help. When her foster mom took her to the vet, they found that she had a broken pelvis. She had to be confined for 8 weeks so that she would have a chance at healing. Bellatrix did not love being confined because she just wanted to be with all the people! A second x-ray to check progress showed that her pelvis has healed well, but the hip joint has been severely degraded and she may need surgery once she is full grown. Despite everything, Bellatrix is a very friendly and confident kitten! She loves everyone and is not afraid of new people. She gets along well with the resident cats and doesn’t mind the large dog that lives with them. Bellatrix is very playful and gets around like any other cat, though she’s not a great jumper because of her injury. She is a typical tortie and has a classic “tortitude”. She purrs constantly, will meow at you when she wants something, and can change her mind in an instant. Bellatrix will need an adopter that is willing to give her the time and space to heal if surgery is needed in the future. She is a special kitten, and she is looking for the perfect forever home! Bellatrix is approximately 7 months old. All HART kittens and cats are vet checked, combo tested, spayed or neutered, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, and on flea and tick preventative.
