Smokey is a big gentle boy who gets along with other cats. He was kicked out of his previous home when he didn't get along with the dogs they decided to adopt. He spent at least a year outside fending for himself, but was taken care of by a worried neighbor. Smokey is a bit shy when he meets new people and kitties, but he will gladly accept pets and will pretty much ignore other non aggressive felines. He allows being held, but doesn't love it. He would rather lay next to you on the couch and watch a movie! He may be a little older, estimated 6 or 7, but he's a gorgeous love bug! Come meet him and look into his beautiful emerald eyes, they are mesmerizing! Keller's Kats Rescue Inc. is a registered 501c3 non-profit, volunteer run, no-kill rescue group that provides foster homes for homeless, abused or abandoned animals facing euthanasia. All of our cats have been spayed/neutered, received age appropriate vaccines, Combo tested, deflead, dewormed, and microchipped. The Adoption Counselor will conduct a phone interview with you, check vet references and obtain consent from the landlord, if applicable. Please make sure that you contact your veterinarian and landlord, if applicable, and that they are aware we are calling to ensure no delays in your application. Once the above is completed the Adoption Counselors will then notify you of the status of your application. If the application is approved a meet and greet will be set up.ALL members of the family MUST be present at the meet and greet. Approved Applicants: If the cat is at adoptable age an adoption application needs to be completed! Adoption Fees: $220.00-Cats under 5 years of age $75.00-Cats over 5 years of age $400-Puppies 8 weeks-1 year $350-Dogs over 1 year of age All Keller’s Kats Rescue, Inc. cats and kittens will spayed or neutered, de-flead, de-wormed, combo tested (which includes FeLV/FIV/Heartworm), have all age appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped prior to adoption.
