LONG STAY 50% REDUCED ADOPTION FEE THROUGH SEPTEMBER: $75! Swain is an adventurous little kitten ready to go to his forever home. He’s very curious and during his first night in his foster home, he left no nooks or crannies unexplored. He’s very playful with both cats and people and purrs up a storm when he is held. Swain wasn’t sure about humans at first but now feels more than confident letting them know when it's treat time, or when he needs more affection. He loves to talk to his foster family, especially first thing in the morning, and likes to follow them around. Swain is excited to start the new adventure of finding his forever family. He is a little shy at first so he should be started in a small space, like a bathroom or large dog crate where there are no hiding places. Connect with him that way, without having to find and drag him out from a hiding place and you will connect quickly. Meet Swain and Yancey on Saturday, 12-4pm at PetSmart, Bleachery Blvd, during our adoption event. He is currently in a foster home with his brother, Yancey, but is also good friends with Norbert.All cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on their vaccines, FELV/FIV tested, microchipped, given a few rounds of dewormer and started on monthly flea preventative. All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.
