Paisley is a darling DSH brown tabby female approximately 1 year old. She has the sweetest green eyes! "Hi, I'm Paisley! I was found in a sewage drain during the winter and was saved by a sweet lady. She got me fixed up and up-to-date on all my vaccines! Unfortunately, she had so many dogs and no other cats at her house, so I came to my current foster home. I have been here for 2 months now. I eat all my food and use the automatic litter box with no issues. At first, I was terrified of everyone. I would hide (but never bite or claw.) Over the weeks, my foster mom's cats taught me that life is okay and not scary. I LOVE playing with other cats! I don't mind dogs, as long as they don't mind me. My foster mom also has kids and I sometimes get scared of them if they move too fast or are too loud. I will usually run and hide or go to another room that's quiet. Being held isn't my favorite thing, but if you do want to hold me, I prefer to be held in a blanket. Once I learn to trust you, I love to make biscuits on you! Every night I sleep with my foster parents and purr so loudly. I also love to be in the room with you while you're cooking or watching TV. I may not sit with you or on you until all is still and quiet, but I do watch from afar and like to be where you are. My foster mom's cats are my best friends, and I really need to be in a house with another cat to play with and to show me that being a cat isn't all that scary! I have learned so much in the last 2 months, that I want to learn more to reach my full potential! I know I will be shy when I meet you, but please don't let that deter you. I promise I you, I will be your best friend once I get settled and will be the most loving cat!" Paisley is microchipped and currently in a foster home. Her adoption fee is $105. Potential adopters or fosters are screened, up to and including home visits. We reserve the right to refuse placement of an animal for any reason. We thank you for understanding. Please ask if you would like more information about veterinary fees and costs. Our animals come from a variety of situations. Some have been dumped at shelters or vets, and many are ill or malnourished when rescued. Although the animal has been in a protected environment, there is the possibility of unrecognized illness appearing after an adoption is finalized, especially because of the stress the animal may experience during the first few days at its new home. We advise adopters of the animal's known history and provide its veterinary records, but frequently we know only what the animal chooses to tell us. We cannot make any guarantee regarding the long-term health of any animal. Adoption fees are generally not refundable unless prior arrangements are made.
