Maple is a very gentle, shy, caring, and curious teenager. He was found out in the countryside with his siblings. They were rescued quite early on, but Maple had different plans. He quite enjoyed the countryside and didn’t want to be a domesticated fella. The neighbors eventually were able to trap him and Community Cat agreed to neuter and vet him. He’s been in a foster home for several months getting hand fed and learning to play with the magical wand feather toy, but is continuing to let the humans know that he really prefers his own space and freedom to roam. Maple is very respectful of household furniture, loves his fluffy cat bed hideaway, loves the company of other cats + playing with them (he makes the cutest chirp noises when they come near him and enjoys grooming them), and thinks humans are pretty scary still. He will eat treats from your hand, but otherwise would really prefer to be your shop buddy. Maple is either looking for a very quiet home with a feline friend and people who understand that he really doesn’t care for human touch, or a comfy shop/barn setting where he has freedom to roam and get yummy snacks. All of our cats and kittens are raised in our homes and live with us until they are adopted. They live with us as part of our families so we know them very well and we can help you find your perfect cat! Cats are rarely caged (only if its medically necessary) so you can visit with them and see how they act in a home. Our adoption fees: Kittens (under 6 months): $150 (or 2 for $225 ) â A dults (6 months to 7 years): $75 (or 2 for $100 ) Seniors (8 years and up): $40 (or 2 for $60 ) All cats are spayed or neutered, tested for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, vaccinated for rabies (if age appropriate) and distemper, and microchipped. Our adoption fees are $50 for adults and $85 for kittens under one year old. Adoption fees include the spay or neuter, rabies and distemper vaccinations, worming, and microchipping.Shelter locationWe are completely foster home based and do not cage our cats unless medically necessary. Because we are foster home based, we require an approved application on file and will then make arrangements for you to meet that special cat or kitten!
