ABOUT TEXAS PETE Similar to the hot sauce, this boy can be a little spicy. Texas Pete is a 1.5 year old tuxedo boy that would love some furry friends. He came to HAP when his owners were no longer able to have a cat. Needless to say, after being raised in a home, he was not very pleased to be in the shelter. He quickly let us know he prefers to run the show and likes his independence. He currently resides in one of our free-roaming rooms. When he's feeling up for some attention, he will come out of his little cave to make an appearance. Sometimes, when he thinks we are gone, we can see him come out and love on the other kitties in his room. He really follows the other cats lead and has begun to be more social since having roommates. **Texas Pete would do best in a home with other cats. If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific cat but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and a small bag of food to get you started.
