Home ownership verification or landlord/condo association approval is required. For dogs, if there are any dogs currently living in the home, a scheduled and supervised interaction with the prospective dog is required. Additional requirements may apply depending upon the individual animal. Upon adoption, the adopter is required to sign a contract agreeing to provide the animal with the care and medical treatment he or she needs throughout his or her life. They also must agree to provide the animal with an indoor home and if at any point in the animal's life the adopter is unable to keep the animal, the animal must be returned to the shelter. Puppies (under 6 months): $300.00Dogs (6 months to 8 years): $250.00Senior Dogs (8 years and older): $150.00Kittens (under 6 months): $95.00Cats (6 months to 8 years): $80.00Senior Cats (8 years and older): $50.00 Pigs: $100.00Chinchillas & Ferrets: $55.00Rabbits: $35.00Bearded Dragons: $25.00Guinea Pigs & Rats: $15.00Hamsters, Gerbils, Mice: $10.00 Cockatiels: $50.00Parakeets: $15.00Finches & Canaries: $10.00Shelter locationThe main shelter is located at W6127 Kiesling Rd, Jefferson, WI 53549. We are open to the public from 1pm to 6pm Monday through Saturday. Our satellite cat adoption facility is located inside of PetSmart West at 8210 Plaza Dr, Madison, WI 53719 and is open during the store hours of 9:00am to 9:00pm Monday through Saturday and 9:00am to 7:00pm on Sunday.
