GiratinaMy name is Giratina, but I go by "G." I was brought to the shelter as an under-socialized stray, fearful of people. The HSHC felt I should be placed in foster care to help me become more sociable and trusting. I am progressing but still hide most of the day and do my exploring at night. Some might say I'm sneaking around or snooping, but I refer to it as "my journey of learning and discovery." I can't seem to mind my own business! My foster mom describes me as brave, playful, and such a cute girl. When she pets me, I purr immediately! And I have started to play with toys on my own. When I'm scared or overwhelmed, she encourages me. Though I sometimes display standoffish and flighty behaviors, I slowly become comfortable with those who earn my trust. My forever family should be patient and committed to continuing my socialization. During my initial transition, I'll need to be set up in a smaller area of my forever home to adapt and familiarize myself with the environment. Due to my hesitation, I'll do better with children 12 or older who will respect my space and boundaries. My entire life is ahead of me to grow and become the ultimate companion. With time, love, and understanding, I'll be someone's perfect little fur baby! 6-26-23
