Tugg…This gorgeous boy was abandoned when his owners moved away. For over a year he struggled to survive on the streets...thankfully a kind neighbor was feeding him and when we heard of his plight, we took him in. Safely in our care and thriving, Tugg is now ready to be adopted. He is approximately 5 years old and the sweetest most loving cat ever. If you give him a chance, I am sure he will "tug" at your heart as he did ours. He is neutered, up-to-date on his vaccinesm and FIV/FELV negative. Please see below for our adoption protocol. Save A Kitty, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) kitty rescue. Our adoption process is as follows: We require a completed application, a home check, and an adoption fee (with the amount depending upon the kitty). We will also discount the adoption fee, if an individual adopts 2 kitties at the same time. All of our kitties have been quarantined for a minimum of 15 days, had their shots, been tested for FIV/FELV, given parasite treatment, and will be spayed/neutered before being placed into their forever home.Adoption processWe have a 2 page application. We do a home check and have an option if we adopt to do a follow-up visit. Our adoption contract is a legal document and includes no release of adopted cats to a third party. We have an adoption fee that ranges from $125 to $200 depending upon the kitty, which helps us with some of the medical costs to ready our kittens for adoption (including testing for FIV/FELV, spaying/neutering, shots, deworming, and flea treatment). If 2 cats are being adopted, we will sometimes reduce the fee. Even if we do a home check, that does not constitute an adoption.Shelter locationWe hold kitty adoptions at the Petco in Van Nuys and Granada Hills as well as Whole Foods.
