A beautiful black and white female domestic cat that is 1yr and 4mths old and has been with HSAC for a shocking 471 days! Shock was surrendered with her litter mates Lock and Barrel and she is the only remaining one out of the litter. Shock may be shy and standoffish at first but we believe once she is adopted, she will finally be able to open up and thrive. She needs someone to give her a chance and that can be patient with her. She can be misunderstood at times but that’s OK! Shock does well with other cats and doesn’t mind dogs. She would probably do best in a home with older children. This beautiful girl is on the smaller side, she is litter box trained, and fully vetted. We’re hoping Shock can find her forever home before she hits the 500 day mark.If you would be interested in giving me a furever home, please contact The Humane Society of Adams County, Inc. at (937) 544-XXXX to set up a time to come meet me and fill out an adoption application!Adoption processOur adoption process is made up of two parts. Upon a decision to adopt an animal we require an application for adoption that asks questions such as housing and veterinary references. We then check references and may require a home visit. Upon approval you will fill out a contract for adoption and pay the adoption fees. Adoption fees are based on age and vetting required.Shelter locationThe Humane Society of Adams County is open to the public on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 11 AM to 3PM and by appointment.
