In a cozy little neighborhood, nestled between quaint houses and leafy trees, there lived a cat named Pookie. Pookie wasn't just any ordinary cat; She was a cute, gray ball of fur with mesmerizing green eyes that sparkled like emeralds. Her soft, fluffy coat was the envy of all the other neighborhood cats, earning her the nickname "The Fluff Queen." Pookie's day typically started with a leisurely stretch on the windowsill, basking in the warm morning sun as it streamed through the curtains. With a contented purr, she would then saunter over to his food bowl, where a delicious breakfast awaited him. But Pookie wasn't just a lover of food and sunshine; she had a heart as big as his fluffy tail. Despite her small size, Pookie had a knack for spreading joy wherever she went. Whether it was by rubbing against someone's legs with affection or curling up in a cozy lap for a nap, she had a way of making everyone feel loved and appreciated. Her gentle purrs and soulful gaze had a calming effect on even the most stressed-out humans. Pookie's favorite pastime was exploring the great outdoors. She would often disappear for hours on end, only to return with tales of her adventures. From chasing butterflies in the garden to climbing trees in the nearby park, there was never a dull moment when Pookie was around. If you are interesting in meeting any of our pets, the process is to complete an application. It can be downloaded as a pdf document from our website and submitted by email to XXXX@gmail.com as a scanned document or as photos OR can be completed entirely online. Both links are in the header of our website. Because we are foster based, we require an approved application to schedule a meet and greet. We feel that is fair to our fosters and rescues so every meet and greet can result in an adoption. A limited number of cats are showcased at Peetco in Sumter, SC weekly. âWe do not have set adoption fees for dogs, but hope adopters will donate generously so we can rescue more. The medical care for every dog can easily exceed the adoption donation. Average adoption fees for dogs in the area range from $175 up to $450. Your generous adoption donations help us continue our programs of providing quality food and medical care to those who pass through our fosters. We ask for a minimum adoption donation of $70 for cats who are not yet altered and $100 for cats who are already spayed or neutered, regardless of age. Please bring your own carrier for the ride home! Each cat is up to date on vaccinations, dewormer, and microchipped. Larger donations are always welcome so we can rescue more. Medical care for each cat easily exceeds the minimum donation. âAs with every rescue, our resources are limited and the need for rescue help is unlimited. Your generosity helps us to rescue more and funds the only Trap Neuter Return Program in the county. It's like tossing $100 bills in the woods when we trap a cat, vaccinate and spay or neuter that cat and then return them to the colony. Young kittens are tamed and available for adoption. We are alone doing this in our area. Your increased donation at the time of adoption can help us cover costs for the cat becoming part of your family as well as a feral to prevent more feral litters. âAdopting or fostering for a rescue frees up a space where a new rescue can reside. âIf you can't adopt or foster, than please consider donating. Fees are negotiable, but a non-refundable donation is required. Follow ups and access to a dog behaviorist/trainer is encouraged. A finalized adoption contract is required.
