Litter mates for life, these two adults, almost 7.5 year old, will make great lap cats for that right companion. Meanie Buns and Yvonne have been together since birth and we hope to keep them that way. Sadly, their elderly female owner passed away a year ago and the children can't keep them as they are limited to the number of cats they already own, per landlord. Unfortunately, these two are scaredy cats, and very much afraid of strangers. Having the sense of stranger danger is good, but it means they will take some time for the new owners to get aquainted and for the cats to get acclimated and trust, again. That is why we will give a 3 month money back guarantee, if for any reason they do not work out. We ask that the new owner takes that amount of time to get to know them and allow the cats to get used to them. They will need a calm and quiet home environment with a cat savvy person who has the time and patience for them, preferably an older women. They were 24/7 lap cats before their mommy passed away. Now they spend most of their time on the granddaughter's bed. They do go outside from time to time on their own, but need to be inside only for at least 3 month period to get acclimated before allowing them outside. A cat tree in front of a picture window to view their new world would be ideal. Cat scratchers are a must. Yvonne likes playing with the red dot. Meanie Buns comes when called. Neither like ever being picked up, even by their original owner. Yvonne likes light petting on the head and back and Meanie Buns likes pets around the head and will headbutt you, demanding more attention. Both Meanie Buns and Yvonne were fixed at a year old and we gave them their first vaccines, FVRCP and Rabies, January and February 2024. They are flea treated and dewormed prophylactically. And they will be microchipped upon adoption. Yvonne occasionally gets eye discharge probably due to herpes zoster and will have eye treatment meds provided. We are asking for an adoption fee of $250 for the pair and we will be deliver them to their new home. This cat is offered for adoption due to the owner's personal circumstances.
