Jodie Landon, Domestic Shorthair For Adoption In Encinitas, California

Location:
Encinitas, CA
Description:

*** Bonded pair Quinn and Jodie are in a foster home. ***Quinn: solid gray, short hair, spayed female, born approx.. 4/5/23, #18414Jodie: solid black, short hair, spayed female, born approx.. 4/5/23, #18501Other cats: bonded sisters & good with othersDogs: unknown but could possibly adaptChildren: older respectful kidsThis dynamic duo was found living outside in Chula Vista. Along with their siblings, they were captured and brought in to live a safer life indoors. Quinn was found at about 4-5 weeks of age and was spoon fed kitten food until she was big enough to tackle it on her own. Ever elusive, Jodie wasn't persuaded to join her siblings until about a month after Quinn. So she had some catching up to do. But once together, it was clear that Quinn and Jodie have a special relationship. Overall, these two are filled with spunk and a weakness for play! They absolutely adore each other and can't wait to spend forever TOGETHER as a bonded pair. These two will keep your house alive with laughter and fun. They both chose to speak to you directly and tell you about themselves: ---Quinn: I just want to be by your side as much as possible! I can sometimes be your shadow, following you around the house. I love to keep tabs on my people so that way I can swoop in at the opportunity to cuddle when you sit on the couch or take a nap. I also have a passion for play! My sister Jodie and I enjoy chasing each other around and wrestling and getting crazy with the laser! We can do this until we completely exhaust ourselves and pass out. I am a bit of a foodie and enjoy trying to steal everyone's snacks! Although I'm not the type of cat that will run up to you when I first meet you, I warm up pretty quickly and then expect all of your attention. I am fond of purring and laying next to you waiting in anticipation and then demanding scritches and massaging pets. I can be a little bit of a nibbler but that is just because I get so excited by you and I can't help myself...but I promise I never want to hurt you! ---Jodie: I am a unique soul. Although I've been around humans from a young age, I'm just not a fan of getting picked up or pet. Despite all of the efforts from my foster lady, human touch kind of makes me uncomfortable. But I LOVE to hang out on the couch or bed with you and enjoy when you play with me. I will play with flying toys and you can catch me carrying small catnip toys around in my mouth. I eat treats from your hand so I can show you I do have some trust inside me. But when it comes to human touch I do prefer my space. I really seek tenderness and affection from my BFF and sister Quinn. And thankfully Quinn is more than happy to take my share of the attention from the humans. She would steal it away anyways and she does not disappoint in the snuggle department; trust me, I know firsthand! I want nothing more than to be your best roommate and hang out with my bestie Quinn for the rest of my life. I am not sure if I will ever be okay getting caressed by humans, but I promise I'll make you laugh every day and will always be near you to let you know that I care. I know I'm in an uncommon situation, but I hope you'll give me and my sister a chance to show you how truly amazing we are. Both girls absolutely love other cats. They got along well with their foster's adult cats that range in age from 3-16. Jodie is really great at respecting cat boundaries and other cats take to her quickly. Quinn likes to push the boundaries with other cats, but she always seems to win them over. They have never had any experience with dogs, but would likely adjust as long as it is a slow process they can adjust to. They have also never been around kids, but would get along with older, respectful children who understand Jodie's boundaries and won't get disappointed if they cannot cuddle her. Quinn and Jodie would relish being your little house panthers. They can't wait to make you smile everyday with their adorable antics!Adoption processAll prospective adopters must complete an application and be interviewed as part of the adoption process.Shelter locationWe at The Rescue House believe that we can contribute to the welfare of our furry friends by implementing an Adoption Program.
