Cody & Brighten are a bonded pair of sweet, shy cats who are looking for their forever home. Cody, who is 7 years old, came to us as a stray. We don’t have a lot of history on him. He is still learning to trust people and needs someone who can provide the patience and gentleness he needs to get to know you. Once he is comfortable, he will allow, and start to enjoy, being petted. With his love of food and his wonderful curiosity, our hopes are he will thrive in a quiet home where he can be the loving boy he wants to be. He just needs the right family! Brighten is a 12 year-old, amazingly kind and gentle boy, who is very stressed by the world. He came to us from a home with too many cats, and the other cats were not always nice to him. His start in life may be why he startles easily and can be nervous around other cats. There is not a mean bone in this boy's body! Once you earn his trust, he will come to you for some attention. Brighten loves being petted and brushed. While they did not come in together, Cody and Brighten have found comfort in each other and are great buddies. Brighten will happily rub on Cody and they both enjoy the companionship of each other, as can be seen when they are snuggled up sleeping together. These two boys will need to be adopted together and go to a quiet, loving home. They need to be in a home without any dogs, other cats or children. If you have experience working with shy cats, have an understanding of how to build a trusting relationship, and the time needed to do this, then they will be perfect for you! With some time, love and compassion, these BFFs will become your new BFFs! Please consider meeting these sweethearts and give them a chance to win you over!
