Olympia is 5 years old and has quite the unique personality! Olympia has a lot to express with her talkative nature. She enjoys small interactions and pets but will communicate when she's done interacting. Respecting her boundaries and going at her pace is key to building trust, she shows her affection by rubbing her head against your hand once she's comfortable. The interactions being on Olympia's terms are quite common among cats, as they can be sensitive to changes in their environment or routines. Taking the time to understand and respect Olympia's preferences will likely strengthen the bond between you two over time. It's important to recognize her need for a slower, more patient approach and are willing to give her the time she needs to feel secure. All dogs over six months of age receive a temperament assessment by our Certified Professional Dog Trainer to ensure appropriate placement. Also, many animals in our care receive basic obedience training to improve manners and increase adoptability. We are currently doing adoptions by appointment only. Adoption Fees:Dogs6 months or under: $1756 months to 5 years: $1256 years or older (or special needs): $50 Cats6 months or under: $75 (or two kittens for $100)6 months to 5 years: $506 years or older (or special needs): $20 Senior to Senior Program: For adopters age 60 or older, adoption fees are reduced to $15 if the animal is 3 years or older. This service is made possible through the Pets for the Elderly Foundation. You will be asked to provide proof of age.
