Collette is a very laid-back, sweet girl that likes to lay around and just take in the scenery. She loves to be petted and enjoys playing with toy mice, especially if they are coated in catnip! Collette enjoys good conversation and affection with the people she knows and trusts. But like many cats, she can get nervous in new situations or where there is a lot of activity, so she would do best in a quiet home. Collette doesn't mind other cats, but is not likely to be playful with them, and she is okay with dogs as long as they respect her. Collette is on a special diet and a low dose medication due to past GI issues. She also has Chronic Kidney Disease, is hyperthyroid and has arthritis. She is on different medications to help and receives fluids to help her feel good. Even with all her medical issues Collette is a wonderful senior feline, who is still enjoying life into her golden years! All animals are vaccinated, dewormed, heartworm tested (dogs), feline leukemia tested and microchipped. If you find an animal that you are interested in on our web site please call, or e-mail us, and we will gladly tell you more about that special animal. Our experienced volunteers will help you select a companion animal that will fit your personality and lifestyle. We want you to experience a rewarding, lifetime relationship with your new companion. If you find a furry friend you wish to adopt you will fill out an adoption application and then a home visit will be set up. At the time of adoption you will fill out an adoption contract and pay the adoption donation.Shelter locationSome of our pets live at our sanctuary in Shell Lake, WI, and others are fostered in homes in the Twin Cities, MN area. We do adoptions days at least once a month. We can make arrangements for you to meet any of our pets on an appointment basis.
