Pookie knows what it's like to have a home! Adopted as a kitten in early 2010, it seemed that Pookie would spend his life with the comfort and love of a family. Sadly, when his behavior began to change, so did his living status, and little more than a year later, Pookie found himself back in our care. After a thorough medical examination the cause of Pookie's behavioral change became painfully obvious - the poor boy had lots of crystals in his urine! The discomfort he experienced would have been enough to make anyone a little grumpy! Pookie is now on a special diet to prevent a recurrence of the crystals, which may make it harder for him to find a home, but he is pain free and back to his normal cuddly self! Give Pookie the comfort of a home once more, and adopt or foster him today!Adoption processDogs can be adopted by filling out and submitting the adoption form found on our website. If you have questions regarding any of the dogs please call us at 631-368-XXXX X 21 or email us at XXXX@littleshelter.com. Cats can be adopted by coming down to the shelter and filling out an adoption contract in person. If you have any questions about a particular cat, call us at 631-368-XXXX X 32 and someone from the cattery will help you. Drive to first traffic light and make a left onto Warner Road. We're at the top of hill on your right.
