Adoption processAll applications are subject to approval. Approval process requires 2 - 5 business days. If a pet requires spaying/neutering or any other medical attention, the pet may not leave the shelter for up to 14 days after application approval. Animals are not adopted out on a first come first serve basis. They are adopted to the best match for them. Adoption Prices: $60.00 Kittens $100.00 Cats $140.00 Declawed cats $195.00 Dogs/puppies KCHF does follow up on our adoptions to insure spay/neuter is done on pups and kittens who left before they were old enough to be altered. We check both with the adopter and sometimes the vet treating the pups and kittens to make sure the new adopter has followed through on their contract agreement.
