Abby is a mature and independent feline who loves to enjoy her solitude! As cats grow older, they often become less interested in socializing with other cats or dogs. They prefer to spend their time relaxing and sleeping in a peaceful environment. It's important to provide older cats like Abby with a comfortable and quiet space where she can retreat for when she needs some alone time. This could be a cozy bed in a quiet room or a favorite spot in the sun. Additionally, providing plenty of toys and stimulation can keep her entertained and mentally stimulated during the day. As for affection, Abby loves attention - on her own terms, of course! Many cats enjoy being petted and cuddled, but it's important to always respect their boundaries and not force them to interact if they don't want to. When I'm in the mood for some love, I'll let my human know by approaching them and rubbing against them. Overall, it's wonderful knowing what I like and don't like. Review the description of the pet you are interested in to make sure that the information we have fits with your particular needs and desires. In most cases, the information on the website is current and gives the information that we have about the particular pet. The picture of the pet does not tell the whole story. 2. Complete the adoption application. Please make sure that you give us as much information about yourself as you can. List all animals currently living with you including other dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and rodents. Once the application is submitted we will contact you, your references, and your vet. 4. We require a home visit prior to dog adoptions. 5. If more than one person applies, we will go with the BEST fit. If all things are equal, we go in the order the applications were received. 6. Once the home visit has been completed, you will be asked to complete an adoption agreement. 7. An adoption fee of $275 for dogs under 6 months $250 for 6 months and older and $95 for cats, Senior Cats $50. This fee helps us to provide the necessary medical care and other needs for the pets while in foster care. 8. All Paws For Life pets are spayed or neutered if old enough, current on shots, micro chipped, and to our knowledge, in good health before they are adopted out. Puppies under 6 months of age will require a $100 spay/neuter deposit in addition to the adoption fee and a special puppy spay/neuter agreement. We are all volunteers and receive no monetary compensation for our work with the pets. The adoption fee is used to help defray costs in the rescue and care of the pets. 9. Congratulations!
