My name is Bobby! I don't know how or why a nice, friendly, easy-going cat such as I would end up in a feeding colony at Temple Hospital. The feeder noticed I was a new arrival and was not being accepted by the others. So she brought me to a foster person at Stray Cat Blues. My foster noticed I urinated a lot, so took me to a vet. The vet thought I had a urinary tract infection, so put me on an antibiotic. When that did not help, she did a culture which showed Salmonella in my bladder. When that was cleared up, I then developed kidney disease. Now I an on renal cat food and should be good for years. I am very friendly with people and love petting! All cats and kittens adopted from Stray Cat Blues have been microchipped, spayed/neutered, are litterbox trained, have received age-appropriate vaccinations, and have been tested and found negative for FeLV and FIV - unless otherwise specifically noted. When you adopt you get a copy of our internal tracking document showing all vet work completed for the cat, which you can give to your vet as a record for the cat's ongoing care. Adoption Fees:• $130 - Kittens up to one year of age• $100 - For cats over one year and up to 7 years of age• $70 - For cats 7 years of age and over.All fees are subject to Pennsylvania's 6% sales tax and a minimum of $5 or 5% service fee.Fees for cats with special needs will be determined based upon circumstances and may result in a fee reduction. If you have any questions, please contact us.Adoption processDuring review of the application if you rent your home, we confirm with your landlord that you are allowed to have the cat per your lease. We also consider if a particular cat is a good fit for your home. Certain cats will do better in homes without small children, or without other cats. Other cats may need to be adopted with a cat that they are bonded with. So we make sure that the cat and the home are a good match before completing an adoption. Some of our fosters allow trial adoptions, where you would have 2-3 weeks to make sure that the cat being adopted was accepted by the other pets in your home. All cats adopted from Stray Cat Blues have been screened for feline leukemia and FIV, inoculated, sterilized and wormed when they first come to us. Additional vet work is completed for those cats that require additional care. Healthy, adoptable cats and kittens are then housed through our network of foster homes until they are adopted. You are also welcome to come visit cats at our PetSmart Collegeville and PetSmart North Wales/Montgomeryville locations (see times for adoption showings).
