Her adoption is sponsored in memory of Carleen "Sue" Swartz Delta Dawn and her BFF Velvet have been closely cared for by a retiree, you could say she is the local cat lady. Delta, like Velvet was a stray who had lived outdoors. They were brought indoors over a year ago to be an inside cats. She is still described as a bit skittish, but playful, and likes to be petted when she is at ease. Will need an unrushed adjustment period, but with focused attention, love, & patience, she could be a loving pet. Best with a gentle, understanding person, no young children and would do well with another laid back cat or dog. Would be great if these two could get adopted together! She could remain an indoor cat (uses litter box, has nice indoor “manners”), but could be an indoor/outdoor cat in a safe, rural setting, NOT near a busy road and must have unlimited access to heated space in cold weather. Adoption includes spay, vaccinations, felv/fiv combo test (neg). Delta and Velvet are on monthly, topical Revolution for parasite control. Also included in the adoption is 30 days of Pet First Pet Insurance, and Petco's Free Welcome to the Family Program. We also participate in a pre-adoption spay/neuter program which decreases possible litters as well as expedites the adoption policy for the new family!Shelter locationOur pets are currently in foster homes.
