Description:
Pouchie, so named by our preschooler, is a 21 month male who was found nearly dead as a young, feral kitten after his mother was hit by a car. He was nursed back to health by human hands as he got used to indoor life. He is fully vaccinated and neutered. His feral ways have never quite left him though, and he becomes destructive when kept indoors all the time, as well as difficult to handle, despite being somewhat social with humans. He prefers a combination of indoor and outdoor life and seems calmer this way. He is house trained. He is an avid hunter. He is playful more than aggressive, but it’s a problem for us now with our small children because he doesn’t hold back the claws or the teeth and is particularly fond of the ambush. Pouchie gets along well with our dogs and our other 3 cats; I suspect personalities make a difference as they are willing to defer to him. He is the most dominant animal in our home from the first day. He weighs about 10-12 lbs.
