Scruff is a big solid cat. He is still getting used to people. He may shy away a bit when first approached, but if you are slow and gentle with him, he loves pets, and does not mind being held. He enjoys being brushed. If startled or with quick movements he may react with flattened ears or backing away, and may swat at you. He really warms up with gentle pets and should be a wonderful companion once he has adjusted to his new home. Scruff has come a long way since first arriving at the shelter, and has turned into a lap kitty who really likes pets. He would likely enjoy a quieter or calmer environment.Scruff has tested for positive for FIV.FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) is a widely misunderstood condition.
