We adopted Missy in the fall of 2018 from a cat rescue. Her backstory was that she had been found locked in an abandoned building. There is no doubt that Missy’s health has suffered from being almost starved to death. Missy does not have any muscle control over her tail and she can only drag it behind her. The vet recently x-rayed her tail and said that nothing appeared to be broken and suspects that she has nerve damage from the abuse she suffered early on. Because of these conditions, it has been difficult to keep Missy in our home. She has an issue with full elimination of her bowel movements, likely because she has no movement in her tail, and random pee-pee episodes. Because of this we cannot let her roam freely around the house and she is kept in a kennel for most of the day in order to mitigate any accidents around the house. Missy needs a home with a fenced in yard with all year shelter where she can be free to roam and not have to worry about accidents.
