How can you not fall in love with Squeaky! She is a tremendously affectionate, sweet girl that wants nothing more than to love her humans. The moment you walk into the room, she's by your side, squeaking until she has your undivided attention. And this sweet girl just loves belly rubs. She still loves a good head scratch, but for her, her belly is her absolute favorite. As soon as you get comfy, she runs over, rolls on her side, and gives you her belly. She is just one of those cats who just makes you smile and always seems to find joy in life, despite some troubles she had had. She was declawed on her front paws, leaving her with curled-in toes, one of the terrible side effects of declawing. While she can't tell us with words how uncomfortable she is, she was doing that with actions in her former home. She started urinating outside of the litterbox, which is not uncommon with declawed cats. Digging in the litterbox is often extremely painful for cats who are declawed. Once Squeaky was in our care, we made some immediate adjustments to her litter and added a mild pain medication in her food. Voila! Squeaky is now using the litterbox and has had no accidents in her foster home. Just those small changes have been life-changing for Squeaky.
