Dive! One of the “evasive maneuvers” triplets. Dive has medium-longhair and he is the smallest of the triplets (they are all beautiful). Not only is he tiny, he has crazy gorgeous, yet crossed, eyes. Sometimes, his eyes only look slightly crossed like his biggest brother Duck. However, he is absolutely the cutest like kitten ever. Dive loves to be snuggled, with very clear rules - he likes to be under the blanket or covers and likes at least one of your knees bent up to provide him a tent. He will lay beside you and sometimes on your chest for lots of pets, but he prefers being hidden under a blanket. Dive is the most suspicious of anything “new”. He is all about routine and will dive for cover at the first indication of a change from normal. Once he is confident that his suspicions of catastrophe are unfounded, he is back in action. Dive, just like his brothers Dip and Duck, is one hundred ninety-nine percent kitten - ferocious, dedicated playing, ceaseless making of mischief, zoomies - no matter the hour, insane curiosity, out right theft of objects that are not remotely toy-worthy in the eyes of most humans and, most importantly, providing the best entertainment ever! Dip, Duck and Dive were born, in July, 2023, to a feral mom and they were pretty evasive when it came to catching them. All three were extremely unhappy about being apprehended and were not shy about sharing their ungrateful attitude while waiting at our vet’s office, where they were dropped off for their combo testing, for me to pick them up. They lost all of their ungrateful disdain of being catnapped almost immediately upon arrival at my house. When the human puts you in a room with a cushy, soft bed, gives you wet food and there are toys to be played with, you kinda forget to be mad! When they came to me to foster they were only about 8 weeks old and I could not tell them apart at all. After about a week of them being with me, I could tell some subtle differences in their fur length and, at that point, the extremely faint coloration on their tails, ears and faces that was emerging. Dive has never been around children or dogs. Even though Dive is still learning that a change in routine doesn’t mean “scary”, I believe he would do fine in a home with calm children and/or dogs, as long as introductions are handled properly and patiently.
